What Really Grinds My Gears

You know what really grinds my gears?  It's our school system - both public schools and to a lesser degree, private schools.

Like I so often say, I can't speak for the rest of the country, but here in California our schools have been going downhill for years.  Remember, I used to teach so I know what I'm talking about.

First of all, our schools are now propaganda mills for the liberal left.  Something like eight out of ten teachers are liberals or leftists.  That leaves two out of ten as conservatives or moderates.  That wouldn't bother me so much if teachers stuck to reading, writing, and arithmetic, but they are also indoctrinating our children into their way of thinking:  It's okay to be Gay, you are whatever gender you feel you are, immigration is good, we owe it to refugees to help them, and of course being White is bad.

Oh, and let's not forget to mention how they are teaching the kids that the traditional family is out of style or even bad.  Teaching the destruction of the family and family values is particularly odious.  If you want to see what the world might be like without families, read Aldous Huxely's "Brave New World".  There are two movie versions out.  The original is closer to the novel than the remake.

Huxely had a reputation for being a liberal progressive, but not when it comes to families.  "Brave New World" was not an attempt to help destroy the family, it was a warning of what could possibly happen if the family did disappear from civilization - and it's not good.

Next is what I like to call the sissification of the American male.  Not just American males, but males in all Western countries.

There was a time when we taught our boys how to be men and our girls how to be women.  Now they are taught that there is no appreciable difference and boys and girls are essentially the same - except in one area:  Dating.  Us guys are still expected to put our asses and our feelings on the line and risk getting shot down while making the first move.  Also, once dating begins, we are still expected to do all the paying.  I for one am sick of it.  If women are the same as men, how's about they make the first move and they pay for the dates - or at least go fifty-fifty.  Men are not walking cash registers even though many women (not all) seem to think we are.

I'm not saying all women are like this by any means, but there are way too many out there that judge a man by the size of his wallet and the size of his - ahem.  You know.  Back in the day we used to call those women "golddiggers".  I think the modern word is "skank".  Not all women are skanks, but there are a lot out there.

Some schools are even cutting out competitive sports.  What's next?  Are they going to start neutering the boys?  Well they already are, pyschologically speaking of course. Competitive sports promotes physical fitness, self-confidence, and helps prepare them for the world of work.  It's a competitive world out there and if the kids aren't taught this they'll get eaten alive.

What also gets me is they are basically teaching the kids that life is fair.  When they get out in the real world they have a sense of "entitlement".  That's when they get a slap in the face from reality and they just aren't prepared for it.

Life is not fair, and the sooner the kids learn this the better they will be able to handle it when the time comes.

So in conclusion, I'd like to advise all parents to home school your elementary and middle school kids.  Once you have instilled in them the proper values and prepared them for reality, by the time they are teen-agers, they should be ready to attend an actual high school and after that, college.  We can't shield them from the world forever, just until they are ready for it and it's up to parents to see to it that they are ready for it.  If we instill in our young children proper values and a sense of decency, when they do have to face the real world they will be better able to resist leftist brainwashing.

That's what grinds my gears this week.  Next time I'll continue this by talking about the sissification of adult males.

  1. I've noticed there is a tuition-free K12 program that is becoming more and more popular, due to television ads for it. I suspect this came about because parents want a truly SAFE and PRODUCTIVE environment for their children to thrive, educationally. And also, of course, to not have to attend classes with useless thugs and other genetic waste material.

  2. I've seen those commercials too. I'd need to know a little more before I make a decision about them. They are still required to adhere to California's liberal education standards.
