During the visit, which was broadcast on the BBC, she was filmed offering a tearful apology to a 13-year-old Afghan migrant, regretfully telling the boy Britain had put him “in the hands of the Taliban”.
“You always wonder how he managed to get the whole country to go along with that. Now we’re seeing it.
“But I don’t want to be a good German. I want to be on the right side of history.”
In response to the comments, Bill Etheridge told Express.co.uk: “Lily Allen going over there, first of all, is quite preposterous.
“If she cares that much about this why doesn’t she use some of her rather significant wealth to help these people?
“If she wants to give them a home, build one in France – that’s a fantastic idea! Why not build a lovely place in France where she can house people?
"How dare she speak for the nation and apologise to those people – how dare she!
“We all want things to be done better – we obviously when we went out there to Calais we saw unaccompanied minors and we wanted things to be sorted out.
“But that is a government responsibility – a French government responsibility – it’s on their soil.
“The majority of the adults who are there are doing it because they want economic gain by illegally entering our country – which is totally unacceptable and the French need to stop it.”
The MEP for the the West Midlands then accused the BBC of taking a “liberal elite” stance on the migrant crisis and claimed their “bleeding hearts” will not solve the issue.
He continued: “As for the BBC showing bias towards this it’s a very typical liberal elite thing to do – let’s all have a bleeding heart about it.
“Bleeding hearts don’t get you very far, what gets you far is pragmatic and sensible policies.
“Deal with it at source – make sure we don’t have people traveling across the whole of Europe to get to Calais because they think they’ve got an economic advantage by breaking the law to enter our country.”
On Friday the singer said she had been targeted by a London taxi driver following her recent remarks about migrants and refugees.
Ms Allen, the daughter of actor and musician Keith Allen and the brother of Game of Thrones actor Alfie Allen tweeted: “Just tried to get in a black cab with my kids.
“The driver looked at me and said, ‘find an immigrant to drive you you stupid tart’.”
She then added: “Having lived a life or privilege, that interaction has given me a tiny glimpse of what it feels like to be discriminated against.
“There is so much work to be done. But we can do it. Let’s stamp out this stupid horrible ignorance together.”
Express.co.uk have contact Lily Allen for comment.
I love it! I say that myself when bleeding heart celebrities urge that we "do whatever we can to help these poor people."
If I could, I'd ask these liberal celebrities, "How much money have you kicked in?"
Damn little I'd wager. I suppose they feel that just by supporting refugees publicly and advocating for them and not charging a fee (which would be hefty if they did) is enough and that they have "done their part."
Talk is cheap. Actions, not words are what really count. If they really want to help the refugees, I suggest they write them a check and not spare the zeros.
I have one more question for these bleeding hearts. When the refugees do come here en masse, would they be willing to have them living in their neighborhoods? I bet they wouldn't. The refugees would bring a rise in crime, and a lowering of the property values in their expensive, upscale neighborhoods.
I also wonder how they would feel if the children of refugees were given scholarships to Miss Twickerham's Private School For Snotty Children. I doubt they wouldn't be too happy about refugee kids going to the same school as theirs.
