California Throws Money at Foster Children Fix

By Michael Reagan
California has inadvertently decided to run a comparison test between two different approaches to seeing that foster children get the best education possible.
As you know, this is a subject very close to my heart.
Although California has only 12 percent of the total population of the United States it has a disproportionate 20 percent of the children in foster care.
Why is anybody’s guess.
Broken homes, out-of-wedlock births, abusive parents or incapable parents all contribute to the problem.
Last year a report by an advocacy group, which therefore must be taken with a grain of salt, found that foster children in California schools had the lowest math scores in any category and their English proficiency was on a level with children who were learning English or had disabilities.
Reporter Lisa Leff, of the Associated Press, found Michael Jones, a teacher in the Elk Grove Unified School District near Sacramento, who saw the problem firsthand and did something about it. As Leff tells it, Jones “founded a weekly class where students in foster care could meet each other, talk about their struggles, get a hug and pick up school supplies, toiletries, and even prom attire that he bought or were donated. He has since expanded it to the district's other high schools.”
The results were impressive. Kandance Stagner, who had bounced around from foster care to foster care since elementary school, graduated last June and will be attending college in Nebraska.
Jones' method is one way, the concerned and caring model, that should be the motivation for foster parents, too, but that’s another topic for another time.
The state of California is going a different way. By the year 2021, $9.3 billion dollars will be distributed to school districts based on how many kids are in foster care, come from low-income families or are non-English speakers.
The money will be spent on at least 42,000 foster children and will hire an army of attendants. In the Los Angeles Unified School District alone three foster youth liaisons will be replaced by “92 guidance counselors, behavior specialists, attendance monitors and service coordinators.” The foster children will also receive tutoring, counseling and a whole array of other activities.
Jones, who didn’t need a check from the state to motivate him, is not optimistic that the problem can be spent into oblivion. "You can't fund decency. You can't fund caring. And unfortunately, that's a big problem with the system right now — the mindset is we will throw money at it and we will make things better.
"There is not enough money on the planet to put people in kids' lives who actually care and are there because they think it's the right thing to do."
I fear Jones is correct. We live in a fallen world, which is the reason there are so many foster children in the first place.
Until people’s hearts are in the right place and following Jones’ example is the accepted practice, I suppose we will have to hope the money helps.
Michael Reagan is the son of former President Ronald Reagan and chairman of the League of American Voters. His blog appears on
What is more important to National Socialism than the welfare of our children?  After all what do the 14 Words say?  We must secure the existence of our people and a future for White CHILDREN.
As the song says, "...the children are the future.  Teach them well and let them lead the way."
What are we teaching the kids in foster care?  What we are teaching them is that no one gives a damn about them.  Most foster parents do it for the money.  As Mr. Reagan said, "You can't fund decency."
Kids are not dumb.  They may do dumb things, but they are not dumb.  They know the difference between someone who cares and someone who is PAID to care for them.
I agree that Sacramento teacher Michael Jones has the right idea.  In addition to helping the kids with school supplies, toiletries, and prom attire, he started support groups for foster kids and they support each other, rather than being "supported" by someone who is paid to do it.
I'm no big fan of either Democraps or Republicraps, but the Democraps do have a tendency to throw money at a problem and hope it goes away.  But you can't fund decency and you can't order people to care.
They did not have this problem in NS Germany even during the war.  People were more than glad to pitch in and care for German war orphans.  They felt it was their duty to the Folk Community to take care of their country's children who had no one to take care of them.  They didn't have to be paid for it.  The families involved did get extra food rations, but no one was making a profit.  That's the difference between a nation that cares (NS Germany), and one that doesn't (the United States).
Michael Jones said what the ANP has been saying for years:  We live in a fallen world.

US Schools Brace for Flood of Central American Immigrant Students

Saturday, 26 Jul 2014 01:16 PM
By Sandy Fitzgerald

At least 30,000 migrant Central American students are heading to classrooms across the country this fall, bringing low levels of education that will lower classroom averages, and overwhelm already struggling school districts, educators are warning.

The Obama administration announced earlier this month that some 30,340 foreign youths and children had been distributed, with the bulk, 4,280, remaining near where they crossed the southern border in Texas, reports The Daily Caller

Other high numbers of students headed to Virginia, which received 2,234 youths, Maryland, with 2,205, North Carolina, with 1,191, and New Jersey, getting 1,504.

Even more students may be showing up in the classrooms, with more than 100,000 migrants being distributed nationwide.

In many cases, such students have "very, very limited amounts of education [and] in some cases, they cannot count to 10,” Caroline Woodason, assistant director for student support at the public schools in Dalton, Ga., told The Dalton Daily Citizen. "They can’t turn on a computer. They’ve never even seen a computer. Also, they, in most cases, cannot speak English or Spanish."

The students instead speak Mam or another language that is specific to their home regions, and Woodason said there is no way they can participate in U.S. history, biology, or other high school courses without special preparation.

By law, high school students may remain in school until they are 22 years old. Dalton officials have formed a "Newcomer Academy" at one school to help deal with the Central American students' challenges. To qualify, students must prove to be non-proficient in English and three years behind academically.

Education specialist Robin Hambly in Fairfax, Va., told The Washington Post  "teachers [are] dealing with children not just learning English but years below expected grade/achievement level." Early this year, her school district had 5,192 Central American students, up 22 percent since 2011.

And many of the students are facing more than just academic challenges, said Hamby.

The youths are escaping harrowing journeys to come north to escape lives filled with gang violence and poverty in their home countries, and are struggling.

"These kids were homesick and heartbroken," said Hamby.

"There's no way a [foreign] child is going to be able to come to school ready and able to learn if we don’t address some of the other issues they’re facing,” Debra Duardo, executive director for human services for the Los Angeles Unified School District, told the Chicago Tribune.

But educators are finding that the foreign-born students are, in most cases, appreciative of their opportunity to learn and find a safe haven in America's classrooms.

"I haven't learned much here, but know with the school I will learn," Marlon, a 16-year-old Honduran who arrived in February, told the Tribune. The boy's name was withheld because of his age, and he now lives with relatives in the New Orleans area.

Speaking Spanish, Marlon said that so far, he hasn't "learned much here, but know with the school I will learn. I think it's good to learn English here. If the judge allows me to stay, I can get a job if I speak English, and opportunity."

Aside from these kids attending schools for free that their families never paid one cent to support, there is another problem.  So many of them are in their teens and function at fourth grade or lower.  How is this to be handled?

You can't put sixteen-year-olds in a fourth grade classroom.  I wouldn't want my ten-year-old daughter (if I had one) sitting in the same classroom with teenage boys regardless of their race or where they came from. Would you?

If we put them in high school, they will be hopelessly behind everyone else.  Most of them don't speak English so they will have to be put in an English-As-A-Second-Language program.  But what about the few who do speak English?  Because ESL classes will be getting rather crowded, the English speakers will be stuck into regular education classes. Just because someone speaks English doesn't mean they can read or write it even if they can read and write in Spanish.

It is not the job of any high school teacher (except maybe special ed. teachers) to teach kids to read and write.  Students are expected to already know how to read and write by the time they get to high school. Besides, high school teachers are not provided with teaching materials to teach basic reading, and they should not have to provide their own materials out their pockets.

Let's also consider what is a teacher supposed to do with the rest of their students while they are working with the non-readers?  The students who can read would be given word searches, crossword puzzles, and general busy work.  In other words they would be cheated out of a proper education which is theirs by right so the teacher can devote more time to illiterate immigrant children who have no real right to be here in the first place because they came here illegally.

To any liberal who may read this, their reasons for coming here are irrelevant.  They are here illegally.  The law is the law.  No exceptions for ANY reason.  If you help these immigrant children YOUR children will be short changed - even if it is only slightly.

If I had kids I would want them to have everything that is theirs by right, and not have even the smallest portion given to non-citizens - especially if they are illegal.  Their lot is indeed a hard one, but it's a hard world.  We can't allow every impoverished person in the world to become our problem.  A harsh attitude? Yes.  A realistic and practical attitude?  Also yes.

South African Political Aide: Hitler Was 'Right' About Jews

An aide with the African National Congress, South Africa's ruling party, has drawn sharp rebukes from Jewish groups for an outrageous Facebook post praising Adolf Hitler for the Holocaust.
Rene Smit, a social media manager with the ANC in the Western Cape province, posted an image of Hitler with the comment: "Yes, man, you were right!"
Below Hitler's face were the words: "I could have killed all the Jews, but I left some of them to tell you why I was killing them."
The South African Jewish Board of Deputies wrote to the ANC's secretary-general to protest the post, The Jewish Daily Forward reported.
Wendy Kahn, director of the Board of Deputies, called the post "appalling and upsetting to the Jewish community" and said the ANC should "distance itself from such comments and say it would not work with that volunteer again."
According to the Guardian newspaper, a spokesman for the ANC in Western Cape, Cobus Grobler, said Smit is "not employed by the ANC" and "she assisted in our recent election campaign. Anybody can help us as a volunteer.
Smit's post came just days after ANC Deputy Secretary General Jessie Duarte posted a statement on the ANC's website comparing Israel's treatment of the Palestinians to Nazi war
The Jewish Board of Deputies called the statement "venomous and insulting."
South Africa's Chief Rabbi Warren Goldstein wrote that Duarte's statement was a "hate-filled outburst" and said her "comparison of Israel to Nazi Germany and Gaza to the Holocaust death camps is abhorrent and beyond the pale of civilized discourse. She must be held accountable for her morally repugnant words, which have brought the ANC into disrepute."
The Simon Wiesenthal Center also attacked Smit and Duarte.
Jewish settlers began to arrive in South Africa in significant numbers in the 1820s. There were about 75,500 Jews in the nation at the time of the 2001 census.
I usually don't bother with this kind of stuff.  After all, what does it matter to the White American Working Class what is going on in South Africa?  It really has nothing to do with us.
However, when I read this I thought it would be interesting just to show you that Whites are not the only ones who feel the way we do about Jews and Israel.  Anti-Israeli sentiments are common - if not predominate in Africa.  And many Africans admire Adolf Hitler and think he was a great man.
Naturally Israel screamed bloody murder.  BTW did you hear that Israel is starting a new TV network devoted solely to the Holohoax?  It's called JWNTV - the Jewish Whining Network. LOL

Beer Sales Surged Since Start of Recession

A boom period has been brewing in at least one U.S. industry since the beginning of the Great Recession — beer.
From December 2007, when the economy first tanked, until 2012, the number of breweries in the United States rose from 398 to 869, an increase of 118 percent, according to new data released this month by the Census Bureau.
Of the 471 new brewing establishments, 412 are small-scale breweries employing 19 or fewer people.
According to the Census, a brewing establishment is a "single physical location," as opposed to a single brewing company that might operate at multiple locations.
The number of separate companies owning breweries also rose sharply over the five-year period, from 371 to 833.
The value of the products shipped from U.S. breweries surged from about $21.2 billion to $28.3 billion, a rise of 33.6 percent.
And the number of people employed by breweries rose 17.2 percent to 26,077.
Employment at wineries also rose from the start of the recession, from 33,390 in 2007 to 37,602 in 2012.
Data on beer and wine sales is contained in the Census Bureau's Economic Census, which is conducted every five years and "provides a comprehensive and detailed profile of the U.S. economy, covering millions of businesses and representing more than 1,000 industries," according to the Bureau.
The Economic Census offers some intriguing figures on other American industries. For instance, there are 98 companies making burial caskets, employing 3,494 people; 14 companies in the beet sugar manufacturing field, employing 6,214 people; and 308 companies in the "ice manufacturing" industry.
There are also 211 companies selling roasted nuts and peanut butter, 133 hosiery and sock mills, 179 companies making brooms, brushes and mops, 362 mattress manufacturers, 341 firms making blinds and shades, and 29 creamery butter manufacturers.
The Census indicates that there are no buggy-whip companies in America.
Of course beer sales have been booming.  As more people lose their jobs they have more time to engage in their favourite activity:  Drinking beer.
The amount of alcohol consumed in this country is nothing less than disgusting.  We are a nation of drunks.  And for those of you who say, "I only drink on weekends and holidays."  You're not much better.
The liquor industry is a monster because all too many Americans can't control themselves. They spend their time pounding beers and watching Niggerball.  Frankly I'm fed up.
Rather than using time constructively, like doing some honest to goodness activism, they're too busy killing off brain cells.  Maybe that's the problem.  I often wonder why it is so difficult to get Whites to take action to save their people.  Why can't they see what's going on around them?  Perhaps because they have killed off too many brain cells and now they see the country through beer coloured glasses.
If you are so selfish that you think you've "earned" a drunken weekend, then to hell with you.  As for me, I'll continue to do whatever I can to save our Folk and promote National Socialism.  And maybe I'm the second problem.  I do so much that the majority of people figure, "I don't have to do anything.  Dan will take care of it."  Well, I won't live forever you know.
I know I've been a lot more harsh than I usually am.  Someone once described me as being rather "diplomatic".  I suppose I usually am.  But sometimes people need a kick in the ass to get them going.
I suppose also too many people haven't gotten out that literature because it's too hot. In six months they won't want to do it because it will be too cold.  If everyone waited until things were just right before doing something, then nothing would ever get done.  Stop with the excuses and get those pledges in.  You don't get something for nothing in this world.  Freedom isn't free.

Kids Say The Darnedest Things!

This is a true story.

Last Thursday (July 24) I was walking from Food-4-Less (Kroger's) to the cigarette store at the other end of the strip mall.  I passed by a woman who had the volume on her cell phone turned way up so I could hear the person on the other end.  It was a little girl.  I couldn't tell how old the kid was, but she sounded like she was under ten.

The mother says, "Daddy will be back in a minute.  Do you want to talk to him?"

"No," the child replies.

"Why not?" mom inquires.

"It's too hot," answered the kid.

"You're inside with the AC on aren't you?"

"So why do you say it's too hot?"

"Well that's what Daddy always says in the summer when he doesn't want to do something!"

Kids may do dumb things but they are NOT dumb!

Thousands of Migrant Children Are No-Shows at Hearings

Wednesday, 23 Jul 2014 10:31 AM
By Drew MacKenzie

Thousands of illegal juvenile immigrants from Central America do not show up for their deportation hearings across the country, the Justice Department estimates, the Dallas Morning News reported.

Eighteen out of 20 unaccompanied migrant children from Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador failed to turn up for their immigration hearing in Dallas one day this week, the newspaper said.

Juan Osuna, who heads the Justice Department’s immigration courts, told a congressional committee recently that, on average, 46 percent of juvenile migrants miss their immigration court hearings, according to the Morning News.

Homeland Security has estimated that 100,000 juveniles have entered the U.S. illegally without a parent in the last two fiscal years, which would mean that 46,000 of them were or will be no-shows at deportation hearings.

The 90 percent absentee rate in the Dallas courtroom alarmed federal Immigration Judge Michael Baird, who said it was "highly unusual." He set a new date, Aug. 11, for the 18 missing juveniles to show up or he’ll issue deportation orders, the Morning News reported.

Baird expressed concerned that the children may not have properly been informed of the hearings by immigration authorities, while Homeland Security attorney Lynn Javier said it was "prudent" to set a new date for the hearings, according to the newspaper.

The extent of the no-shows led to suggestions that the children and their families had deliberately missed the court dates and had absconded, the Morning News said.

None of the 18 children due to appear in the Dallas court were represented by attorneys in their absence, while the two juveniles who did show up also didn’t have lawyers.

The research organization Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse has estimated that nine out of 10 unaccompanied juveniles who do not have attorneys will be deported, said the Morning News.

The minors typically ask for asylum during the hearings, claiming they fled gang violence back in their countries, but their allegations are hard to prove and are often unsuccessful.

The Executive Office of Immigration Review, which faces a backlog of 375,000 cases, was recently ordered to make the hearings of migrant minors their first priority, the Morning News reported.

Gee, how can this be happening?  They take people into custody.  The authorities give them a piece of paper telling them where and when to appear for their deportation hearing.  They believe that most likely they will be deported.  Then they are released on their own recognizance. This basically means they are released on their verbal promise to show up for their hearing. And that's all she wrote.
Considering the fact that they believe there's a greater chance they will be deported than allowed to stay, it's absolutely no surprise that they just disappear.  As things are, they know that they are better off here illegally than back home so of course they break their word and just take off.
This is only the tip of the iceberg.  Most illegals fail to show up for their hearings.  That's why it is imperative that they not be released until their hearings.  If the judge says they can stay, then they can be released.  If not, they can be released when they get home.
The government isn't stupid.  They are very well aware of this.  That's why they are doing it this way.  They want them to stay.  If these illegals ever get to become citizens they will all become registered Democrats.  Plus they are a source of cheap labour.
This is going to simply accelerate this country's collapse.  When that happens, at least I'll have the satisfaction of laughing at every single liberal.  That's right, I'm definitely an "I told you so" kind of guy.

Illegals With No ID Flying Commercial Unimpeded

Friday, 11 Jul 2014 07:46 PM
By Cathy Burke

Illegal immigrants picked up after sneaking across the U.S.-Mexico border – and then released to await hearings – are reportedly getting onto commercial planes without any ID other than "a simple paper document that anyone can easily alter or reproduce."

An outraged local spokesman for the National Border Patrol Council, Hector Garza, told Breitbart News the security threat from the lax policy "is absolutely unacceptable."

"The aliens who are getting released on their own recognizance are being allowed to board and travel commercial airliners by simply showing their Notice to Appear [hearing] forms," he told Breitbart in an interview posted Friday.

"We do not know who these people are. We often have to solely rely on who they say they are, where they say they came from, and the history they say they have.

"We know nothing about most of them. [Immigration and Customs Enforcement] releases them into the American public, and now they are boarding aircraft at will with a simple paper document that anyone can easily alter or reproduce themselves."

Allowing them unrestricted travel access "just adds insult to injury," he said.

"Not only are we releasing unknown illegal aliens onto American streets, but we are allowing them to travel commercially using paperwork that could easily be reproduced or manipulated on any home computer," he charged.

Garza warned the practice has wider implications.

"The threat this poses from terrorists upon the American people is absolutely unacceptable," he said.

"Central Americans are not the only people crossing our border and being released. Does anyone actually think that cartels and other criminal or possible terrorist organizations are not taking advantage of the fact that we are having to leave our border wide open while we reassign the majority of our agents to process family units and minors? Of course this situation is being exploited by such threats."

The national Border Patrol Council released a statement warning the practice will worsen problems triggered by the recent influx of illegal immigrants, including some 52,000 unaccompanied children since last October.

"The National Border Patrol Council adamantly opposes the decision of [the Department of Homeland Security] to release the illegal aliens who have been transported from the Rio Grande Valley Border Patrol Sector to other locations for processing," the group stated.

"The lack of consequences has furthered this crisis and will only continue to do so. The fact that TSA is accepting the [Notice to Appear] as a form of identification and allowing illegal aliens to travel commercially shows just how little regard the federal government has for its own immigration laws."

The Transportation Security Administration didn't immediately comment to Breitbart about the report.

The revelations came just three days after President Barack Obama asked Congress for an emergency $3.7 billion to contain the surge of illegal immigrants, most from Central America, crossing into the United States from Mexico.

Don't you just love it?  When I fly I'm practically treated like a criminal.  I have to take off my shoes, get x-rayed, empty my pockets, and show a valid picture ID.  If I even look at anyone funny TSA could eject me from the airport.

These illegals have no way of legally identifying themselves.  They could be wanted criminals for all we know.  And because they are illegals all they have to do is show a piece of paper that any half-wit can duplicate on any computer WITHOUT specialized software.

The liberals would say, "Well they have no official ID."

I say, "Too damn bad."

Again the liberals would say, "They have a right to fly as long as they can pay for a ticket."

Again I say, "No they don't.  They shouldn't be allowed to fly, take a train, bus, boat, or taxi - unless it is taking them back home - because they aren't supposed to even be here in the first place."

The fact is that no matter what obstacles (or lack thereof) they face here, they are still better off than back home.  If we ever hope to stop illegal immigration we have to reverse that.  We have to make it so they are WORSE off here than at home.  The following are some of my ideas on how to do this:

1.  Illegals cannot buy property in the United States.

2.  Illegals cannot rent property.

3.  They cannot work in ANY job here.

4.  They cannot get driver's licences.

5.  They cannot get credit cards or other types of loans.

6.  They cannot open bank accounts.

7.  The only accepted IDs are what is accepted for citizens and legals.

8.  They cannot get a social security card.

9.  Illegal children, or children whose parents are illegals cannot attend our schools public or       private.

10. Illegals cannot legally possess or spend U.S. currency.

Now that last one would be difficult if not impossible to enforce, but once they are busted, it would be an additional charge for them to face which would officially make them criminals (other than the fact that they are here illegally) which would be an aid to ICE when trying to deport them.

Until we make conditions worse for them here than back home they will continue to flood across our borders in ever increasing numbers.

Who Owns The U.S. Stock Market? Part Two Of Two.

Senator Reed Calls Wall Street a ‘Casino’ in Tuesday’s Senate Hearing
By Pam Martens and Russ Martens: July 9, 2014

Wall Street awoke to a big problem this morning. Their army of physicists designing artificial intelligence algorithms to skim money from millions of trades undertaken by the pensions and mutual funds owned by the average American may not be smart enough for a brand new form of competition.
That brand new competition is a group of Senators whose brains are rapidly gathering asymmetric information on the dirty dealings of Wall Street by clustering key Wall Street executives and experts into hearing panels and then drilling down for how things are reallyoperating today at the stock exchanges, in the dark pools, and in the “casinos” run by the high frequency traders.
Equally important, by taking first-hand testimony at this series of hearings, the U.S. Senate is acknowledging two things: the Securities and Exchange Commission has dropped the ball and the Senate no longer trusts that regulator to deal with the problem or provide it with accurate information.
Senator Jack Reed demonstrated how exquisitely this learning curve is working with this insightful statement at yesterday’s hearing before the Senate Banking Committee:
Senator Reed: “The market has changed. The old fashioned nostalgic view of the stock market is capital formation. That’s where you form capital which ultimately created jobs. Now it’s about trading. I’m struck. John Bogle, who will know more about this stuff than I will ever, made a speech a few months ago in April and he said, you know, the numbers tell a story: $56 trillion per year in trading volume as investors buy from and sell to one another, minute after minute, day after day, year after year. That $56 trillion of trading volume dwarfs the capital formation total of $270 billion. Result: short term trading on Wall Street’s casino represents 99.5 percent of the market’s activity and long term capital formation – which is the small investor putting money in hoping that some day it will pay for college for the kids – is just a side show really…The market itself, as he says, it’s a casino.”
In that April 28, 2014 speech, Bogle, the founder of the giant mutual fund family, Vanguard, provided a broader indictment of today’s Wall Street casino, stating:
“But it is only capital formation that adds value to our society. Trading, by definition, subtracts value. Indeed, the casino mentality remains in the catbird seat of finance. Is that good or bad for investors and for our society? As Nobel Laureate in Economic Sciences and New York Times columnist Paul Krugman recently put it, “society is devoting an ever-growing share of its resources to financial wheeling and dealing, while getting little or nothing in return.”
“I might go even further, and suggest that we are getting less than nothing in return. More broadly, be warned by these words of wisdom from the great British economist John Maynard Keynes in 1936:  ‘When enterprise becomes a mere bubble on a whirlpool of speculation, the position is serious. For when the capital development of a country becomes a by-product of the activities of a casino, the job is likely to be ill-done.’ ”
Senator Elizabeth Warren challenged the often heard defense of high frequency trading as that of providing liquidity to the market. She queried witnesses at the hearing on how high frequency traders could be adding any liquidity to the market if they were jumping in and out of stocks all day long with no intention of holding them long term for genuine investment purposes.
When billionaire Ken Griffin, CEO of giant hedge fund Citadel, was asked to address the question by Warren, he went into a dance around the subject of his use of high frequency trading. Warren moved on to Kevin Cronin, Global Head of Trading of mutual fund family Invesco, Ltd, who seemed sincere in his desire to provide useful information to the Senators. Cronin said that the average high frequency trader is likely holding stocks for no more than “a minute.”
Senators from both sides of the aisle have apparently gained new knowledge from the revelations in the complaint recently lodged against Barclays’ dark pool by the New York State Attorney General, Eric Schneiderman. Democrats as well as Republicans were asking yesterday if dark pools should be eliminated. The witness consensus was that there should be a means of allowing large block trades to achieve anonymity to avoid driving down the share price in that stock and harming other investors but the deeply conflicted model where large broker-dealers are now routing the bulk of their own customers’ retail trades into their own dark pools is a serious problem of both ethics as well as draining liquidity from the regulated, lit exchanges.
There was a sense of déjà vu in listening to Senator Warren describe the skimming of trades and Senator Reed explain his epiphany of the “casino” which adds nothing to capital formation to benefit the future prospects of the country, its people, its industries or its job market.
Forever seared in my brain is the image of Laura Flanders having her own epiphany of what motivated Wall Street in the lead up to the bust of 2008. Flanders, in 2009, was interviewing Andrew Cockburn and Leslie Cockburn, producers of the documentary, American Casinoon her show on Grit TV. After the Cockburns explain how the scam worked, fueled by the “crackpot” deregulatory prognostications of then Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan, Flanders asks, with a blend of contempt and genuine shock frozen on her face: “So you think it was all really a scam to transfer money from the vulnerable and the poor to the wealthy.”
As we have been telling our readers for the past eight years, under its current structure, Wall Street is simply an institutionalized, government-enabled, wealth transfer scheme. (We have even placed a menu heading titled “Wealth Transfer Schemes” on our top menu bar to assist average Americans with achieving their own asymmetric information.) That Wall Street has now deployed high-speed computers, Ph.D.s writing artificial intelligence algorithms, co-located servers inside the stock exchanges to gain micro-second speed advantage, off-exchange, dark pool trading of 100 and 200-share lots of retail customer orders, special order types to fleece other customers – is all simply a high tech acceleration of the wealth transfer scheme to loot the savings of hardworking Americans struggling to put a little aside for their own future and that of their children.
It’s encouraging to, at last, hear and see members of the Senate Banking Committee asking the hard questions that show an awakening to this long, crippling, wealth stripping nightmare.
There you have it comrades.  Finally the mainstream media admits what we've been saying for YEARS.  This country and its government are owned and controlled by, not the one percent, but by one percent of the one percent.  There are probably actually so few of these people that the real controllers of the United States could probably fit comfortably in a large living room.
You might be wondering why The Wall Street Journal would print a story like this in the first place.  It's because they have always been an important tool for traditional investors.  The five families of the Super Elite don't need the Journal.  In fact the tactics of the five families are hurting traditional investors which in turn is bad for The Journal's business.  The Journal is concerned that one day they may become as extinct as the dinosaurs when the five families gets through with Wall Street.  That means they will be out of business.  Need I say any more about why?
We have officially been reduced to a modern equivalent of the old Feudal System.  The One Percent of the One percent are the kings and queens, and the main one percenters are the dukes/duchesses, counts/countesses, and barons/baronesses according to their wealth and power.  BTW I've listed them in the order of importance in the Feudal System with dukes being above the rest in case you've ever wondered which was the higher rank.
It's interesting if you think about it.  According to Obama's official net worth of about 8 million, he's only a baron. Even men like Warren Buffet and Bill Gates are only dukes.  The real kings and queens of America are the five banking families we have been talking about.
However kings and queens have been deposed before.  Remember Louis XVI of France? He lost his head over the whole thing.  OUCH!  That had to hurt.  Let's not forget Czar Nicholas II of Russia.  Bang!  Bang!  He was dead, along with his entire family except Anastasia - maybe.
How were they deposed?  Well it didn't happen all by itself.  The people had to MAKE it happen.  It's the same thing here.  We have to MAKE it happen.
But it won't happen overnight.  If you're one of those who expects it to happen quickly because you need immediate or near immediate gratification then the ANP is NOT the place for you.  Frankly I'm getting a little sick and tired of all the "passersby".  People who become Official Supporters, they don't see fast results and get impatient and quit.  If that describes you, then keep on passing by.  But if you're willing to go the long haul - and I mean LONG - meaning years, perhaps decades, then you are urgently needed.
National Socialism hasn't made much progress in the United States, but they have made giant steps in Europe. Greece has 18 NS on its parliament.  Germany has many NS at the state level, and has now sent two NS to the European Union Parliament.  Sweden also has NS at the local and state levels.  In France's last presidential election the NS candidate came in third out of five.
There are many other countries where NS is spreading and causing their respective systems a great deal of concern:  Spain, Hungary, Ukraine, and even Russia.  And fascism, although a different system than NS, is making a comeback in Italy.
Our European comrades MADE it happen.  They didn't make it happen by sitting home watching soccer on TV, or spending all their money on plastic crap from China.  No.  They did it by organizing.  They attend rallies by the hundreds, and in some cases by the thousands.  They donate generously to their respective NS organizations.
Until Americans are willing to do the same, we will continue to lag behind our European comrades.

Who Owns the U.S. Stock Market? Part One Of A Two Part Post

by Pam and Russ Martens

Serious observers of Wall Street are increasingly asking this question: could a group of trading venues with giant pools of capital, operating in the dark, using high-speed algorithms and artificial intelligence that has a massive historical database and gets smarter with each micro-second trade — effectively own the stock market. Today, we take a look at the massive trading control exercised by just five Wall Street firms.

JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America and Citigroup jointly control trillions of dollars in commercial bank deposits with thousands of branch bank buildings stretching across the United States scooping up the life savings of everyday Joes who have no clue these are also the Masters of the Universe on Wall Street.
Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley also own FDIC insured banks. Goldman Sachs Bank USA, as of March 31, 2014, has $104.7 billion in assets; Morgan Stanley Bank, N.A., as of the same date, has $108.8 billion in assets.

These institutions have access to the Fed’s discount window, super cheap access to capital from FDIC insured deposits and a massive subsidy of their institutions under the too-big-to-fail doctrine. And, they also own outright or jointly a large swath of anything and everything that passes as a trading venue on Wall Street today.

The dark pool known as BIDS Trading, L.P. says it “was designed to bring counterparties together to anonymously trade large blocks of shares.” According to its web site, it is owned by: JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Citigroup, Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley – along with other financial firms.

Before BATS Global Exchange pulled its planned Initial Public Offering (IPO), its SEC filing said its owners included Citigroup, a subsidiary of Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and others.  BATS has since merged with Direct Edge, whose owners included Goldman Sachs. The combination of BATS with Direct Edge puts four of the 13 public stock exchanges under the control of this one entity.

According to a March 31, 2013 report from Morningstar, the following Wall Street firms were among the major shareholders of the New York Stock Exchange/Euronext: Citigroup, 6.5 million shares; Morgan Stanley, 5.9 million shares; JPMorgan Asset Management (UK) Ltd., 4.9 million shares; Merrill Lynch & Co. Inc., 4.2 million shares; Goldman Sachs & Co., 3.1 million shares. In November of last year, the IntercontinentalExchange Group, Inc. purchased NYSE/Euronext. It is unclear if the Wall Street firms are still stakeholders.

According to an SEC document dated April 27, 2012, the Box Options Exchange is jointly owned by multiple firms which include Citigroup and LabMorgan Corp., a technology think tank at JPMorgan Chase.
The gambit to create dark trading pools dates back to at least 1999. As we previously reported, in September 1999 Citigroup’s Smith Barney, Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch and Goldman Sachs partnered with Bernard Madoff to compete head on with the New York Stock Exchange in a venture called Primex Trading. (As we now know, Madoff was running a Ponzi scheme at that time, calling into question how much due diligence was done by lawyers for this joint venture.)

The Nasdaq stock market licensed the Primex Auction System and ran it for two years before abruptly shutting it down on January 16, 2004.

With the intense competition among these Wall Street powerhouses, one has to seriously question why they are always teaming up in joint ventures. As we reported in January 2008 in an article titled “How Wall Street Blew Itself Up,” these same five firms, along with others, were involved in the joint creation of a company, Markit, to price exotic, off-exchange traded derivatives. That company went public last month.

In addition to having their fingers in these other trading pots (no one has ever accused the Justice Department of taking anti-trust seriously when it comes to Wall Street), each of the five Wall Street behemoths also own and operate their own dark pools which are collectively trading billions of shares a week.

One of the most sprawling of these global trading operations is owned by Citigroup. The company owns Automated Trading Desk whose web site says it is trading approximately 200 million shares a day (1 billion a week). Citigroup also owns the following dark pools: Citi Match, Citi Cross, Liquifi, and LavaFlow.

According to some industry estimates, as much as 40 percent of stock trading in the U.S. may now be occurring off of public stock exchanges. These five firms account for a good chunk of that in their own dark pools which function as unregulated stock exchanges that do not make the bids and offers of the stocks they trade publicly available.

On June 30, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) released a regulatory notice indicating that the SEC had approved new language for FINRA Rule 5210. The upshot of this language change is that it smells like both the SEC and FINRA believe these Wall Street dark pools may be gaming the trading of stocks in wash trades. The relevant part of the new rule language reads as follows:

“Under Rule 5210 and its supplementary material, self-trades resulting from orders that originate from unrelated algorithms or separate and distinct trading strategies within the same firm would generally be considered bona fide transactions. However, self-trades by a single algorithm or trading desk or related algorithms or trading desks raise heightened concerns that this type of trading may not reflect genuine trading interest, particularly if there is a pattern or practice of such trades. This type of trading becomes increasingly problematic when it accounts for a material percentage of the volume in a particular security. Consequently, under new Supplementary Material .02, firms must have policies and procedures in place that are reasonably designed to review their trading activity for, and prevent, a pattern or practice of self-trades resulting from orders originating from a single algorithm or trading desk, or related algorithms or trading desks. The supplementary material was adopted to address those instances where self-trades, even though unintentional, may not reflect genuine trading interest, especially where they account for a significant amount of volume in a security and potentially adversely affect the price discovery process.”

It’s been four years since the Flash Crash on Wall Street sent stocks into a 900-point bungee jump, wiped out over $200 million of investors’ money by improperly triggering stop-loss orders, and shredded public confidence in stock markets.  And still, to this day, the Securities and Exchange Commission does not have a Consolidated Audit Trail (CAT) to properly police who is placing orders, at what time, at what speed, in what securities and in which trading venue.

The SEC is 80 years old. If it really wanted to properly police stock trading on Wall Street, one has to figure it would have had that Consolidated Audit Trail in place long before now.

The concentration of insured deposits in the U.S. among these firms; the fact that over 90 percent of derivative trading is controlled by these same firms; that the same firms, over and over again are jointly owning pieces of the same trading venues; that they are now trading billions of shares a week in darkness, should be enough to send Congressional banking committees into a frenzy of drafting new legislation to rein in this mess.

It hasn’t happened. As Senator Dick Durbin famously said about Congress in 2009, the banks “frankly own the place.”

At least someone is finally admitting it:  That the Judeo-Capitalists own the government. Admitting there is a problem is the first step in solving it.

Let's not anybody get their hopes up yet.  As I often say, 90 percent of politicians are corrupt and/or incompetent.  With only 10 percent sincere, what can they do?  Not a whole lot unfortunately.

Also bear in mind that ChaseMorgan is one of the five banks mentioned.  The Morgan family is related to the Rothschilds by marriage.  Therefore it is safe to assume the Rothschilds control Chase (and God only knows how much more).

I am going to withhold any further commentary until after I post the second part.  I'll do this for Thursday's post unless there is some really important news such as breaking news on the illegal immigration crisis or Obama's reaction to Texas Gov. Perry's deployment of National Guard troops along the southern border.

Texas Gov. Perry to Deploy 1,000 National Guard Troops to Border

Monday, 21 Jul 2014 07:38 PM

Gov. Rick Perry is deploying up to 1,000 National Guard troops to the Texas-Mexico border over the next month to combat what he said Monday were criminals exploiting a surge of children pouring into the U.S. illegally.

Perry, a vocal critic of the White House's response to the border crisis who is himself mulling a second presidential run, said the state has a responsibility to act after "lip service and empty promises" from Washington.

"I will not stand idly by while our citizens are under assault and little children from Central America are detained in squalor," the governor said.

The deployment of National Guard troops, which may act in a law enforcement capacity under state authority, will cost Texas an estimated $12 million per month. They will simply be "referring and deterring" immigrants and not detaining people, Texas Adjutant General John Nichols said. But he added that the National Guard could take people into custody if need be.

"We think they'll come to us and say, 'Please take us to a Border Patrol station," Nichols said.
Messages seeking comment were left with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

Perry bristled at suggestions from some Democratic state lawmakers and business groups that his move means Texas is militarizing is southern border.

Still, Cameron County Sheriff Omar Lucio said he didn't know if troops would be coming to his part of the border and questioned what good they would do if they did.

"Those people are trained for warfare, not for law enforcement," said Lucio, whose county includes Brownsville. "I think the money would be better spent if they would give it to the local law enforcement that is close to the border."

More than 3,000 Border Patrol agents currently work in Texas' Rio Grande Valley, but Perry had repeatedly asked Obama to send the National Guard to the border amid an influx of immigrants.

Since October, more than 57,000 unaccompanied children and teenagers have entered the U.S. illegally — more than double compared to the same period a year earlier. Most have been from Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador, where rampant gang violence and intense poverty have driven tens of thousands of people outside their borders.

Obama administration officials have said that the flood has slowed in recent weeks, with Border Patrol agents in the Rio Grande Valley finding fewer than 500 children last week compared to as many as 2,000 a week last month.

Perry, though, said that, for years, the federal government failed to secure the border and suggested that criminal gangs could be exploiting the recent surge to make things worse. He said more than 200,000 criminals in the country illegally had been booked into Texas jails since 2008, many for drug-related offenses but also for homicides and sexual assaults.

As governor, Perry can deploy National Guard troops, but that means Texas has to pay for it. An order by Obama would have meant Washington paid. Still, Perry and other top Texas conservatives said they expect the federal government to eventually reimburse the state.

"Texans are willing to put the boots on the ground, but we expect Washington to foot the bill," said Attorney General Greg Abbott, a Republican who is favored to replace Perry in November.

Perry isn't seeking re-election but hasn't ruled out a 2016 presidential campaign after his short-lived 2012 run — and he's used the immigration issue to repeatedly hammer Obama for what he called inaction.

White House spokesman Josh Earnest said Monday that Perry wanted to "make a symbolic statement to the people of Central America that the border is closed."

"He thinks that the best way to do that is to send 1,000 National Guard troops to the border," Earnest said. "It seems to me that a much more powerful symbol would be the bipartisan passage of legislation that would actually make a historic investment in border security and send an additional 20,000 personnel to the border."

That refers to the U.S. Senate's passage of comprehensive immigration reform that stalled in the House. Earnest also said the White House hasn't received the kind of "formal communication" from Perry's office that usually accompanies such deployments.

The Texas Democratic Party accused Perry, who spent part of the weekend in Iowa, of "continuing his routine of photo-op politics to further his presidential aspirations" rather than seeking long-term border solutions.

Eduardo Campirano, chairman of the Rio South Texas Economic Council said "adding a military presence to our communities will only create an inaccurate image that our safe and viable border region in the Rio Grande Valley is dangerous."

President George W. Bush sent 6,000 National Guard troops to the border in 2006, and Obama eventually extended that deployment while ordering a second wave to Texas, California, Arizona and New Mexico in 2010.

On previous border deployments, National Guard soldiers have served in support roles — administrative, intelligence gathering. Some troops already participate in counter-drug operations on the border, though they don't have arrest powers.

Perry had announced last month that Texas would give $1.3 million per week to the Department of Public Safety to assist in border security through at least the end of the year. He said the state has already spent $500 million on border security but "as all of the Texans who have fallen victim to the crime at the hands of these criminal aliens will attest to, the price of inaction is too high for Texans to pay."

Leave it to Texas to make this bold move first.  I figured it would be either Texas or Arizona. Definitely NOT California.  If every other border state does likewise, California MIGHT join them, but I doubt it.

Geography refresher course:  The states that border Mexico are Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California.

Tomorrow we'll probably be seeing articles about Obama's reaction to this move.  He'll probably try and use his "executive authority" to order Perry to remove the Guard.  Now if Perry refuses to comply, that WILL be interesting.

If Obama does order Perry to remove his troops and Perry refuses to comply, I wonder what Obama will do?  That should be REALLY interesting.  Things could get nasty.  Well, we won't have long to wait on this one.  I bet the majority of Texans will back Perry.  Like they say: DON'T MESS WITH TEXAS!
